Michel Besner, President and CEO

Michel Besner has been successful for more than 15 years in bringing to market innovative products and solutions for the film, games, video, broadcast, web, mobile messaging and architectural market spaces.

As the co-founder and CEO of Kaydara, Besner helped pioneer the development of real-time 3D animation solutions that have been used in numerous blockbuster movies and video games. Following the acquisition of Kaydara by Alias Systems in 2004, Besner was named Alias' Vice-President of Business Development - Emerging Markets.

In 2006, Autodesk acquired Alias and named Besner as Senior Director, 3D Product Management for the Media & Entertainment division. Besner then joined OZ Communications as Senior Vice-President of Marketing in early 2008, prior to their acquisition by Nokia in November of the same year. For the past couple of years, Besner has worked primarily as a consultant, helping many small and medium-sized companies with their product portfolio, marketing strategy and business plans.

Michel has won several awards including Personality of the Year - 2003/2004 by the Québec Federation of IT (FIQ – Fédération de l'Informatique du Québec). Michel holds a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from l'Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal and enjoys the good things in life such as collecting wine, playing golf and tennis as well as traveling. Michel is married and has 4 kids.

André Lévesque, Chief Technology Officer

With more than 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry, André co-founded Ryma Technology Solutions Inc. in March 2000. Prior to co-founding Ryma, André was Chief Technology Officer of Surefire Commerce Inc., where he was responsible for the strategic direction, architecture, and design of their transactional engine for the processing of electronic payments via the internet.

He was previously President and CEO of Micro Tempus Inc., a publicly-traded company with 4,000 customers around the world that specialize in the transfer of enterprise data across heterogeneous platforms. Under his leadership, Micro Tempus acquired BCE Emergis' banking solutions, and sports and entertainment divisions. Prior to Micro Tempus, André was VP Research & Development at DLGL Inc., where he led the re-architecture of a proprietary technology to an open standard technology that was successfully deployed in Canada-wide HR systems for companies such as Nortel Networks. André's previous experience also includes development, sales support, and customer support positions in companies such as Wang Laboratories, Digital Equipment, and Atomic Energy of Canada.

André studied Computer Science at Sir George Williams University.

Robin Lowry, VP Product Management

Robin is a co-founder of Ryma Technology Solutions, and brings more than 10 years of experience in Product Management and Product Marketing in the software industry, including positions at Surefire Commerce, Micro Tempus, Logos, and Interleaf. At Ryma, she is responsible for the strategic and tactical management of the FeaturePlan™ product line, as well as the coordination of all product-related activities. Robin has extensive experience in building high performance product teams in new and emerging markets.

Robin is a trained Pragmatic Marketing Product Manager and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University.
