Application Engineer
The Application Engineer (AE) provides Ryma customers with reliable technical solutions in the use and integration of Ryma's FeaturePlan™. The role provides deep technical knowledge of Ryma's software and service offerings to support sales and the sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver live and online presentations and software demonstrations
- Provide on-site and remote activities to support the sales cycle including technical presentations, information gathering sessions and proof-of-concept implementation assistance
- Discovery sessions with prospects to understand customer pain points and how to solve them with Ryma’s offerings
- Updating the CRM with account and prospect information
- Provide direct technical assistance to the sales team for new sales opportunities
- Evaluate and respond to RFI and RFP documents
- Define and scope professional services and implementation projects through SOW (Statements of Work)
- Provide feedback to product marketing and product management on customer and market requests
The prospective AE candidate should draw upon all resources at Ryma, to advise and consult on the use of Ryma technologies to avoid such problems in the future. Primary responsibilities include providing technical and creative solutions for products and service delivery by visiting customer problems sites, while ensuring customer satisfaction with FeaturePlan™.
Expert level knowledge in at least one of the following areas is required: Process Management, Product Management, Project & Portfolio Management, Product or Application Lifecycle Management.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a software sales support engineer role. Preference will be given to those with specific experience in product management
- Exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving, and technical writing skills are required
- Working knowledge of a CRM (salesforce.com an asset) or the ability to quickly ramp up in this area
- Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level
- Must have the ability to work independently w/ minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Travel is required and can be as much as 70%. Must possess current passport or be able to obtain passport within 90 days of hire
