Front End UI Developer

Reporting to the Team Leader, the front-end developer is responsible for producing high-quality code, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes – items that must be produced in a timely manner and in accordance with feature requirements. The developer is expected to collaborate with their team members to achieve maximum productivity and quality, and also resolve any issues raised by the QA department.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop efficient code and frameworks for complex, scalable, and integrated applications (both web-based and mobile-web). These applications must have cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device functionality.
• Conduct usability tests to solve problems with interfaces and improve usefulness.
• Drives select design and usability initiatives from concept through execution, via exploration and finishing of interactive wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of commercial software development.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to grasp and understand complex system integration concepts and consider potential pitfalls to an approach.
• Experience in building and operating highly efficient, dynamic, data-driven, scalable browser-based UI and web/mobile-web applications.
•  Thorough understanding of interactive design and user interface design principles.
• Must have advanced experience with: JavaScript / Jquery / HTML / CSS / Photoshop
• Hands-on experience in some of these areas: AJAX, SQL, .Net, and IIS is a plus
• Written and Spoken Languages: Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal), knowledge of French is a plus.
